Deborah Miller
Pastor Deborah is a lifelong learner with a passion to know and serve God. With doctorates in education and ministry, she has served in multiple roles in churches and Christian organizations for over thirty-five years. She has authored four books (her latest is on leading prayer retreats) and presents at conferences nationally and internationally on topics such as spiritual formation, leadership, education, and prayer. Deborah loves studying the Bible, worship, hiking, traveling, and experiencing the beauty of God’s creation. She has been married to Roger for over forty years, has two children, five grandchildren, and a spoiled Australian labradoodle named C.S. Lewis (Louie).
Craig Beals
I am a 3rd generation Nazarene, and I have had the privilege of serving here at Sunnyside Nazarene since April 2023. I was saved by the Lord at the young age of 10 years old during revival services at my home church, Pueblo First Church of the Nazarene. I am an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene, and for much of my life I served in both compassionate ministry and pastoral ministry. Prior to coming on staff here, I served the Lord in a secular social services position for 20 years, retiring in August 2022. In April of 2023, I was invited to join the staff part-time at Sunnyside Nazarene. It is a joy and a privilege for me to love & serve Jesus along side our wonderful church family! I am a graduate of Northwest Nazarene College (now NNU) with a B.A. in Philosophy & Religion (1982). I also have a Certificate in Urban Ministry studies from Bresee Institute (LA First Church of the Nazarene), and completed Master’s level courses at Azusa Pacific University & Fuller Theological Seminary. I am married to my best friend, Lindy, who I met at NNC. We celebrated our 41st Anniversary this past August! Our son, Cameron, and daughter-in-law Shelby live in the area. They have given us two wonderful grandchildren, Eliana (4) & Ellory (5 months).
